Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3rd, 2026
SEVA First Responder Facilitator Collective runs this website at sevafrfc.org. We know privacy matters to first responders and their families. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
What we collect
Information you give us
Contact form: Your name, email address, the topic you choose (retreat, integration group, or general question), and your message.
Gifts: When you support SEVA, our payment processor, Stripe, collects your name, email, billing details, and card information. We see your name, email, gift amount, and gift date. We never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically
Site usage: Our website platform, Squarespace, collects basic technical information when you visit. This can include your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you. Squarespace uses cookies to do this. See the Cookies section below.
What we ask you not to send
Please don’t send health details, diagnoses, substance use history, department IDs, or other sensitive personal information through this website. If we need to talk about something personal, we’ll do it directly with you, outside the site.
How we use it
Responding to you: To answer your message and follow up about retreats, the integration group, or other questions.
Processing gifts: To process your gift, send a receipt, and manage recurring gifts.
Running the site: To keep the website working, secure, and easy to use.
Legal requirements: To meet our legal and financial recordkeeping obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We only share information with the services that help us run SEVA, and only as much as they need:
Squarespace: Hosts our website and contact form.
Stripe: Processes gifts. Stripe’s privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
Google Workspace: Hosts our email, where contact form messages arrive.
Legal or safety reasons: If the law requires it, or if we need to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights.
Cookies
Squarespace uses cookies, which are small files stored in your browser, to run the site and collect basic usage information. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up, [up to X years]. We keep gift records as long as tax and financial laws require. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
How we protect it
The site uses SSL encryption. Stripe handles payment information under industry security standards. Only the people at SEVA who need your information can see it. No website is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee complete security, but we take it seriously.
